Indooroopilly Toastmasters Awards

At each meeting, the Club presents awards for outstanding performance and participation during the evening. The winners of the awards are decided by the voting of all present, and are awarded at the end of the evening. Speakers receive a certificate, and get to hold the Club Award trophy.

TABLE TOPICS AWARD

The Table Topics award is presented to the member who has presented the most interesting, well-constructed and polished impromptu response during the Table Topics segment. To help you choose, the following points should be considered:-

§ Was the topic answered and did the speaker stay with the topic?
§ Was it presented in a well-constructed manner?
§ Were the gestures, eye contact and vocal variety adequate?
§ Was it an imaginative response?
§ Was humour used?

EVALUATION AWARD

The Evaluation award is presented to the evaluator who has presented the most constructive, useful and positive analysis of another member's segment.

BEST SPEECH AWARD

The Best Speech award is presented to the member who delivered the most entertaining and best-prepared speech that also achieved the set objectives of the assignment. Each assignment can be chosen by the presenter, and is tailored to be delivered according to the objectives within the Manual. There must be three or more speeches given during the evening before voting can be cast for this award.

BEST SHORT SEGMENT AWARD

The Best Short Segment is presented to the member who delivered the most entertaining and best-prepared short segment that also achieved the set objectives of the assignment.
