Leadership Program

Most Toastmasters are directed to achieve the highest awards that the Cluib can offer. To achieve the award of Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG) within Toastmasters International, you will also need to participate in the Leadership program in conjunction with completing speeches from your manuals.

The first of the Leadership awards is the Competant Leader (CL) award. There is a manual for you to work through with a set of objectives that you need to achieve in order to receive this award from Toastmasters International.

The second is the Advanced Leader Bronze (ALB) award. For this award you need to have served at least six months on the Club Executive as a Club officer, particpated ina District sponsored Club training program and conduct two speeches from the Successful Club Series, or the Leadership Excellence Series.

The third is the Advanced Leader Silver (ALS) award. In addition to the ALB award you need to have completed a term as District officer, completed the high Performance Leadership program, and served successfully as a Club sponsor, Mentor or Coach.

All the Awards require you to spend time serving on the Club Executive (Competant Leader) and Area or District Executive Teams (Advanced Leader positions). There are also other specialised speeches required as well as a demonstration of your leadership abilities, to achieve the AL award.

When you have completed the ALS award (leadership award) as well as the ACG award (speaking award) you will be recognised with the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award from Toastmasters International.

The exact details to achieve Leadership Awards can be found in the documentation you receive when you join the Club, and is part of the Toastmasters International award scheme.
